My Personal and School Projects

These are my projects. I have sections for projects that I worked on at home for experience and projects that I worked on at school for class.

Personal Projects

HomeLab

Sep 2026

TL;DR: A personal project where I set up a home server to host various services and applications for personal use.

Technologies: Proxmox, AdGuard, Vaultwarden (Bitwarden), OpenMediaVault, Wireguard, Debian Linux, Networking, VLAN Management, Nginx

What was Completed:

  • Proxmox was installed as a Type 1 bare metal hypervisor on an old 2017 MacBook Pro.
  • AdGuard was used for network wide adblocking, DNS rewrites, so I have custom domains for my different services, and to protect the network by blocking anything malicious.
  • Vaultwarden (Open Source Bitwarden) was used to host my own password manager so large tech doesn’t have my passwords.
  • OpenMediaVault was used to host a local NAS for file storage and backups.
  • Wireguard was used to create a secure VPN connection to my home network when I am away from home.

GLCC Navigator App

Sep 2026

TL;DR: An offline-first mobile navigation app for the Green Lake Conference Center's 900-acre lakeside campus.

Technologies: Expo, React Native, TypeScript, MapLibre, OpenStreetMap, Protomaps, A* Pathfinding

This app was designed for Green Lake Conference Center (GLCC) to help visitors navigate the 900-acre lakeside campus. The app is built using Expo and React Native, with TypeScript for type safety. It utilizes MapLibre and OpenStreetMap for map rendering, and Protomaps for offline map tiles which allows the app to function fully offline, which was important with the confrence center being out in the woods. The A* pathfinding algorithm is implemented to provide efficient route calculations between points of interest on the campus.

Personal Portfolio V1

Sep 2025

TL;DR: The first version of my personal website, where I displayed my projects and what I have done for work.

Technologies: React, TypeScript, Vite, TailwindCSS, Node.js

This was my first personal website that I built something I thought was cool, but overcomplicated it. I built it using React and Tailwind CSS to showcase a more indepth look at my resume including projects, skills, and experience. The website had a lot of moving parts with an implemented background in hex that follows the cursor, project filtering, and contact form functionality to profice comprehensive overview of my work.

School Projects

Senior Design - Intelligent Career Management Platform for Milwaukee School of Engineering

Aug 2026

TL;DR: One stop shop for new graduates looking for full time positions or students looking for internships. Scraps for job listings and creates a progress kanban style baord for students to visualize their progress in the job search process.

Technologies: React, ASP.NET Core, C#, MySQL, GitLab, SSO, ChatGPT API, Web Scraping

This project is a yearlong yearlong agile scrum team for my SWE4901-4902 - Software Engineering Capstone I & II course where we are creating a web application that is a one stop shop for new graduates looking for full time positions or students looking for internships. The application scraps for job listings and creates a progress kanban style board for students to visualize their progress in the job search process. The application also has a resume feature that allows students to do a comparison between their resume and each individual job discription to look for discrpancies, and what the user should add. The application also has a SSO feature that allows students to log in with their school credentials. The application is built with React for the frontend, ASP.NET Core for the backend, C# for the backend logic, MySQL for the database, GitLab for version control and CI/CD, and web scraping for job listings.

Reverse Engineering (RevEng) Project for SDL at Milwaukee School of Engineering

May 2026

TL;DR: Replace Enterprise Architect with an internal reverse UML diagram generation tool from code.

Technologies: Java, ANTLR, PlantUML, Gradle, TestNG, Mockkito, Java Swing UI, GitLab CI/CD, GitLab Runner

This project was a yearlong agile scrum team for my SWE3710-3720 - Software Development Lab I & II course where we were to create a reverse engineering tool to generate UML diagrams from Java and C++ code.
The application had three big main parts, the biggest was the Desktop application that had the most functionality and a GUI. We also developed a CLI tool that users could use with scripts to create an entire sections UML diagram by just pointing it to a folder with all the projects. The third piece was a plugin to IntelliJ and CLion that allowed users to generate UML diagrams from the IDE itself, with real time UML updates to see the UML as it changes. The application uses PlantUML to generate the UML diagrams and ANTLR to parse the Java and C++ code. The application was built with Java Swing for the GUI, Gradle for build automation, TestNG and Mockito for testing, and GitLab CI/CD for the runners.
